Lena Winslow

When Lena was 7 years old, the Chornobyl nuclear meltdown 70 miles away turned home life in Ukraine into chaos. She watched her mother, a physician on the front lines. She experienced her first loss when their family dog, Dana, had to be rehoused because of too much radiation coming home with her long black coat to their small apartment.  This shaped Lena at a young age. Going forward, Lena believed that if something invisible like this mysterious radiation could be so vast and cause such devastation the opposite must also exist, something invisible could bring order and relief. In science "for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction"… Lena dedicated her life to traditional medicine, like her mother. She began with a goal of learning all about this invisible nuclear power, and her choice of major in college - Nuclear Medicine. She followed all the rules only to be left hanging, over and over again in the unknown. Through abundant curiosity, combining integrative and conventional medicine, she continues to navigate the course of an autism diagnosis with her daughter, homeschooling her two boys for over a decade.  4 years ago she pushed reset on cancer in her own life and decided to formally train as an integrative health coach after completing cancer treatment. Now she gets to be a mom of 3 kids ages 16, 14, and 9, a wife of 23 years, and teaches others how to be at home in both conventional & integrative medicine without having to pick a side.
