Josh Zisholtz
Josh is a humanistically oriented therapist with an approachable style that is centered around the importance of the relationship between the client and therapist. In addition to treating depression, anxiety, and trauma, he is also focused on helping individuals working through other life challenges such as relationships, family stress and professional fulfillment. Having become a psychotherapist after a professional career in the arts, Josh specializes in working with creative professionals and professional artists who often face challenges that are unique to creative individuals.
From Josh: For many of us, our lives often feel held hostage by feelings such as anxiety, depression, anger, frustration, loneliness, sadness, grief, and low self-esteem. The prominence of these feelings leads to a blocking of our ability to find meaning, purpose, and fulfillment in our lives. As a psychotherapist, I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empathic environment, in which we can work through these feelings and challenges. Together, we will examine the historical context through which these feelings and your thoughts about yourself developed, and learn about the corresponding behavioral patterns that developed as a result.
The most central item to the efficacy of psychotherapy is the relationship between client and therapist. I encourage you to reach out to me for a free phone consultation to discuss if treatment is right for you and get a sense if I am the right therapist for you.
